22,369 Nepali Citizens are rescued by Repatriated Flights from Abroad:

The government of Nepal is giving continuation of the rescue campaign of Nepali people who are stuck overseas due to Coronavirus pandemic and lockdown as its consequences. The government had started this campaign from June 5 and till July 8 many Nepali have come to Nepal via repatriated flights. According to government data, 22,369 people have rescued till July 8 of this year.

According to the record, 957 Nepalese were rescued from the UAE, Malaysia, and Qatar. As per the latest statement of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC), 479 Nepalese along with 5 dead bodies were rescued from Qatar via 3 different flights. Likewise, 2 international flights were airlifted 327 Nepalese including 2 dead bodies from Malaysia. Yesterday 151 Nepali citizens have arrived from the UAE. On Wednesday, the Nepal Airlines and the Himalayan Airlines conducted 2 flights each and one each by Qatar and Malindo Air to rescue the 957 Nepalese citizens.

The highest number 4,775 Nepalese were rescued from Kuwait and lowest number 5 were from Sri-Lanka. Today, 5 different international chartered flights are bringing Nepali from the Gulf countries and Malaysia. According to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Himalaya Airlines and Nepal Airlines are conducting flights to rescue stranded Nepalese from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.
