The Tourism industry has been a gradual recovery in Nepal after long months of suspension. To boost the industry, concern authorities, offices are trying its best with result-oriented campaigns. In the regard, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has announced that the government will unveil a recovery package for tourism sector soon.
The minister said that the government will unveil a domestic tourism-centric program for 2021. As international tourism is very difficult to boost at this time, the is only one alternative way to promote domestic tourism for the development and sustain tourism industry in Nepal he said. He further added that the activities are ongoing for the promotion of domestic tourism in 2021.
It is well known that the tourism industry is impacted all over the world due to COVID-19. Thus, the government started to resume domestic and international flights to promote the tourism industry. Furthermore, a record shows, 40 per cent of domestic flights have been operating at this time. Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and MoCTCA itself working for planning better programs, the campaign to enhance and recovery of the tourism industry in Nepal.
