Lukla Airport made Negative PCR Compulsion to Fly:

The Coronavirus threaten is continue in Nepal where domestic flights have got a date for resumption from today. In this regards, the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality has made a negative PCR report compulsory for passengers who are travelling in or out from the Lukla airport; a dangerous airport of the world.

In order to keep the place safe from a pandemic, the rural municipality has made it mandatory for passengers travelling to the Lukla airport must have a negative PCR report. To make it effective municipality has already sent a letter to all the airline companies requesting them to carry only those passengers who can produce a negative PCR report.

Furthermore, the Lukla airport is one of the busiest domestic airports. As the autumn season has begun and the government has already allowed trekking and mountaineering activities, it can have a huge mass of travellers. During this time, the Department of Tourism and Nepal Mountaineering Association has also started issuing expedition permits.
