Post-Pandemic Tourism Promotion Campaign to be lunched Soonest: Tourism Ministry:

The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) has already started to plan for infrastructure development for tourism promotion in Nepal as per the previous declaration.

In the meeting Tourism minister Yogesh Bhattarai directed Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) to have detail study for the probability of building tourism infrastructure surrounding Kathmandu valley that can accommodate around 500,000 tourists. It has been mentioned in the press statement issued by the ministry too.

As per the statement, Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai has directed NTB to study the possibility of building trekking trails and trails for cycling, among other touristic activities, within Kathmandu valley and its periphery. At the same time, NTB has got the responsibility to prepare promotional digital presentations in different languages like in Nepali, Hindi, Chinese, Arabian, Portuguese and Spanish which

Minister also focused on the need of psycho-social counselling for tourism workers and entrepreneurs as they have been de-motivated due to the losses because of the pandemic. He further said that the workers and entrepreneurs should be discouraged from migrating for this tourism sector.
