Rasuwagadhi Checkpoint to Come in Operation from Monday:

The Rasuwagadhi checkpoint will come in operation from Monday. This is the checkpoint in between Nepal and China. In this regards, the process of import started from Thursday even though an agreement had reached between Nepal and China a week ago. The goods will be available on Monday in the checkpoint.

According to Punya Bikram Khadka, the Customs Officer of Rasuwa Checkpoint, entire processes including check pass and loading of goods will complete and Chinese cargo trucks loaded with goods will arrive at Rasuwa border checkpoint by Monday. Both countries agreed to open the border checkpoint ensuring safety measures to control the coronavirus spread. In the first phase, the Nepali side is sending 15 drivers and 15 workers to carry goods from China.

Furthermore, the border checkpoint had been closed to stem coronavirus since January 28. The government of Nepal is easing lockdown although infection of Coronavirus is increasing. Public vehicles entrepreneurs are seeking the date to run their vehicles.
