The government of Nepal has started the second phase of repatriation flights to rescue overseas stranded Nepali citizens across the world from Wednesday. The first phase of rescue campaign was started from June 10 and a total of 26,396 Nepalese were rescued from 24 countries.
The campaign was halted for 2 days and it is resumed form today with 6 flights. Among them, 2 flights are to Abu Dhabi, 2 flights to Kunming and 1 flight each to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) informed that the campaign was paused for 2 days for sanitizing the TIA surroundings and management of holding centres and other preparation. Now the evacuation process for Nepalese has been resumed with regular flights to different destinations from Wednesday.
To return homeland, Nepali citizens have to follow the same types of procedures for fill-up the form (If they haven’t earlier) and government via respective embassy will bring them in priority base like before.
