Way to Everest: Kathmandu to Khumbu Trip:

The motorable bridge over Dudh Koshi river is completed that is making it possible to reach Khumbu easily from Kathmandu. The road was inaugurated on Saturday. After this succession, one can start the journey from Kathmandu after breakfast and can enjoy dinner in Khumbu. This time, bike rider, the car driver can be more benefited in their own way of enjoyment with adventure.

Khumbu is in Everest region that is also called the dream destination for many people all over the world. Now it is reachable within a day from Kathmandu. As of now, the popular way to get to the top of the world is to take a 25-minute flight to Lukla’s Tenzing-Hillary airport and then trek towards Everest. But the construction of the bridge over the Dudh Koshi river at Orlang Ghat of Solukhumbu is a landmark for connectivity. Before this construction, the transportation coast was expensive as there was the only way to reach that is by air. Obviously, air transportation is costly due to this reason the trip used to be expensive in the area.

The daily foodstuff and another day to day materials were too costly. High costs of commodities made travel extravagance. At the same time, travellers were impost to take risk via unpredictability and dangerous flights to Lukla Airport. This airport is considered one of the most dangerous airports in the world. But now, vehicles can roll up to Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality ward number 1. Binod Bhattarai, the chief administrative officer of Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality shared his happiness.

Furthermore, the government had first decided to open a track to the Everest region after more than 3,000 tourists were stranded in Lukla in November 2011. The adverse weather conditions halted flights from Kathmandu for six consecutive days that imposed to think for the government during that time. After many years, the declaration was made successful. This construction will enhance tourism in the local area. It will especially enhance domestic tourism in Nepal.
